Wild carrot (lat. Daucus carota) - is growing in many countries, including Poland, both in the wild and in cultivation. Food and medicinal properties mostly has a carrot root (Radix dauci recens), less fruit carrot (Semen dauci). Consuming carrots stimulates digestion. Carrots is reinforcing the organism, contains a plurality of vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, E, H, P, PP and provitamin A) and trace elements (phosphorus, iodine, cobalt, magnesium, manganese, copper, potassium , calcium). Fresh carrots also contains carotenoids, carbohydrates and insulin-like substances. Fruits of carrots contain flavonoids, trace amounts of essential oil, protein and choline acetate. It provides general strengthening of the body, through a wide range of vitamins and trace elements. It has anti-inflammatory agents. Reduces the risk of anaemia. Due to the possibility of excessive use of nitrogen fertilizers, carrots should be consumed from controlled crops (especially when serving to small children).
