Tyramine (4-hydroxyphenylethylamine) is a derivative of tyrosine, occurring in the natural plant food (such as wine, tea, chocolate) and animal origin food (red meat, full-fat cheese). It affects the intensity of burning depot fat (lipolysis). Excessive consumption of tyramine can cause side effects (increased blood pressure, headaches). Tyramine is a component of slimming supplements and stimulants (in combination with caffeine).
