Plum (Prunus domestica) fruit tree, occurring in the wild and grown in orchards and gardens in Poland. The raw food material is a fruit plum (Fructus Pruni domesticae) containing a few percent of sugars, organic acids, flavonoids, pectin, minerals (phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, iron), vitamins C, B1, B2, B6, E, P and PP. Consumption of plums enhances the digestive system. Plums allow to supplement the lack of vitamins and minerals. They are also used for preserves.
